TMI Thursday: My Breast-ies

by starzskymoon on January 7, 2010

TMI Thursday

All women (and most men) know we’re pretty damn sensitive about our “goodies”/”twins”/”buds”, whatever you may call them.  I think I may be more sensitive than most.

As my mom and I were packing up some things at my old house on Monday evening, for some reason we ended up on the topic of breast implants.  As this is something I desperately need want, I began talking to her about my twins and what they look like and do.

You see, I have those kind of breasts that aren’t perky.  At the ripe age of 25, they sag a little.  They only might look good every once in a while thanks to Victoria’s secret and they’re (padded) push-up bras.  Speaking of which, have any of you ladies out there tried the Bombshell bra yet?  Thoughts?  Impressions?  Does it really work?

Back on topic . . . the other thing is I know just about every woman is not symmetrical in any way.  However, I seem to be more so than most.  I’m almost a half cup size smaller on the left, and this seriously hurts my ego sometimes as I’m standing there looking at myself naked in the mirror.  It also looks awkward if you’re looking down my shirt (which I do multiple times a day if you wanted to know) because my right is nice and round and plump, while my left just looks like a teardrop sitting on my chest.  Yeah, it’s that bad.

Then don’t even get me started on those “side-boobs” that my mother told me I inherited from her.  We are cursed with extra skin/fat near our armpits, so if I wear the wrong shirts, it squishes out like a fat kid wearing a Speedo.  It’s kinda crazy actually.  I’ll even supply you all with a picture description for this one (and I’m horribly embarrassed by it, but know you all will sympathize with me over it):

So anyway, once I get the money, I’ll be heading to the plastic surgeon to help me out with this dilemma.  You see, my grandmother got breast implants and she’s 72 years old AND STILL LOOKS PERKY.  I mean, honestly, how can a 72-year old woman have breasts perkier than mine?!  It just baffles me.  Thanks, genetics.

PS – Do any of you have implants and if so, what kind do you have (silicon/gel), how were they put it (armpits/nipples/belly button) and where were they put (on top/underneath of the muscle?

PPS – Did any of you with them have kids afterwards?  What’s the effect of breast feeding?

PPS – Are they hard or squishy?  Do you like them and did they boost your self-esteem?

I know nothing of implants, but I do know that you look FABULOUS, my love. <3

I think you look fine, for the record… we all get a little side boobage… But I know how ya feel. Before I lost weight I wore about a DDD. Now I've lost about 2 sizes and all of my perkiness. I'll def be looking into getting some kind of lift if I can ever afford it!! I don't know anything about the process though… Lemme know what you find out!

Side boos — is THAT what that means?! I've been referring to that phenomenon as “vag-arm” for years.

Also, maybe it's just because I grew up in Vegas, but I've seen many, many implants and I think they look pretty darn good. As long as you go to a good surgeon (check out the whole portfolio, ask for references, etc.), then hey, if it helps you feel good about yourself, go for it!

your grandma doesn't have implants unless you're talking about your paternal grandmother

That's not what mom says!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to always want breast implants as I thought my breasticles were too small. Then I realised that 1) I could find some REALLY GREAT push up bras and combined with a low cut top, my breasts look awesome and 2) guys don't care (which was something i worried about) when I took my bra off and they weren't that impressive because they had a topless chick in front of them!

Also, I watched this plastic surgery show that showed a breast implant op and made me feel quite sick.

I think you look great, but I know how sensitive a topic boooobs are. Mine are too big, I'm getting a reduc, a lift and implants by the end of this year. If you find any info let me know.

I have them and it was the best thing I ever did. LOVE THEM. Before the implants, I couldn't fill out a training bra – seriously, i was a AA. They weren't saggy, they were non-existent. I had really bad self esteem issues because of it. I'm now a large C. While at times I DO wish I hadn't gone so large (i'm only 5'3″), I would go through it again in a second. Mine are saline and not hard at all. The current BF didn't even realize they weren't real. They went through the nipple (which left NO scaring) and are under the muscle.
The pain was pretty horrible the first couple of days though. It felt like someone smashed me across the chest with a 2×4, then promptly sat an elephant on me. But they give you awesome drugs for that!

Thanks for the info!!!! I really appreciate it!!!

Well, first I want to say that you are a beautiful girl. I think we all have these little hang ups about our body that bother us… but the fact is that you look great. So you probably think that I'm going to tell you not to do it, but I'm actually all for it. If it bothers you that much, get a little nip tuck, the esteem boost will be worth it. Either way, your body is beautiful and you have nothing to worry about.

(btw – I also suffer from side boob… It is SO embarrassing. I feel your pain :(

Thank you, my dear. Send me your site link, please :) Thanks for stopping by!

starzskymoon January 8, 2010 at 3:31 pm

Also, another quick question . . . you're only 5'3″, I'm barely 5'4″ and I'm a small B right now . . . you think a full C is too big? I see myself as a bigger boned frame because I have that athletic build. Big legs, tight abs and arm muscles so large they barely fit into some shirts I have . . . what's your recommendation???

Cassie C January 8, 2010 at 9:50 pm

It's just me, Cassie from high school, I don't have a site! :)

1st time here and I like you already!

You are beautiful… and I KNOW how boobs play a huge roll in our self esteem. Oh and side boob? yeah… not fun when you're the one sporting it! Next time the husband deploys I've threatened to go get my reduction and put them back where they're supposed to be. Until then Victoria and I are super best pals… the kind where I pay her to make me look good, but meh… it's working for us.
